A reliquary is a case for keeping treasured things. We named our store after one because that’s how we think about games: the good ones are worth keeping, playing again and passing down.
Our mission
We want to help every person who walks into Reliquary Games find a game their whole table will want to play again. Not the most expensive box, and not the one with the most hype. The one that fits the people you play with.
How that shows up in the store
Every game earns its spot
A game only gets a place on our shelves once someone on staff has played it and would happily teach it to you. That keeps our shelves full of games we can actually talk about, from family classics to new releases and Kickstarter titles.
We’ll tell you the truth
You can ask about any box on the shelf. If it’s wrong for your group, we’ll say so and hand you a better one. A game that collects dust isn’t a good sale for anyone.
We teach before you buy
Rulebooks are where good games go to die. At our weekly teach-and-play nights, a staff member walks your table through a game from setup to final score while you play. No experience needed.
What’s next for Reliquary Games
We open on Saturday, November 14 at 1109 Main Street. From there, here’s how you can stay connected:
- Teach-and-play nights every month
- Weekly deals with a few games 10 to 15% off
- Private game rooms you can book by the hour
- A monthly email with new arrivals and open seats at game nights. Sign up here.
We’re building a store for Boerne and northwest San Antonio that feels like the best game night you’ve been to. Come by, tell us who you play with, and let us help you find a game worth keeping.
